About Euro_ICT_Develop

The event is organize by consortium of Euro_Net_Develop (European Network Promoting a Socio-Economic Model for Local and Regional Sustainable Development) project in a frame of Romanian Program Excellence Research supported by the Ministry of Education and Research.

Participants and Partner organisations in the Workshops, were able to initiate and influence the design and content of future activities for a new action program.

The next event is planned to take place in August, 25-26th 2008.

Scope and Objectives of Euro_ICT_Develop

The main scope of this event is to gather experts from academic, political and business environment for debating the main challenges for the e-Society when passing to the “new economy” under the impact of ICT development.

This edition aims presenting information and new analysis methods that will contribute to the European effort in appreciating the performances of the Information Society as most important factor of socio-economic evolution to sustainable development.

Submission of abstracts and papers, as well as conference registration should be performed electronically via the conference web site http://www.cicop.ugal.ro

About Abstract and Paper Submission
One page Abstract (300 words approx) describing the main features of the work before July 15th, 2007.
Acceptance of the contribution: August, 1^st, 2007

The final abstract (to be included in the hard-printed book of abstracts) and the full paper in format for publication (to be edited in the CD Rom) will be required by August, 15th, 2007.

The accepted abstracts will be published in a book and the full proceedings in a cd-room. The publication is with ISBN number.

About Euro_Coop_Develop
In post-industrial economics, a new source of the economic environment's competition advantage is the strengthening of both one’s personal potential to act and the organisation’s as well, by access to “knowledge” in regards to utility and development. In this context, the creation of a “knowledge” based Europe was, even from the Lisbon Council of March 2000, the main goal
of the EU. Among it’s conclusions, the Council includes a new strategic objective, that the EU become “the world’s most competitive and dynamic knowledge based economy”.
The aim of the workshop is to sharpen the sustainability discussions.
This event is organize by consortium of Euro_Net_Develop (European Network Promoting a Socio-Economic Model for Local and Regional Sustainable Development) project in a frame of Romanian Program Excellence Research supported by the Ministry of Education and Research.

Scope and Objectives of Euro_Coop_Develop
The existing economic system, like neoclassical economics is maybe not suitable for sustainability matters and there is a demand for new economic thinking. More practical conversations with business economists are needed, not just including the
traditional economists like macroeconomists.
The main scope of this event is to gather experts from academic, political and business environment for debating the main challenges for socio-economic aspect of local and regional Sustainable Development.
This edition aims presenting information and new analysis methods that will contribute to the European effort in appreciating the performances of socioeconomic development.
