ICT-2008 - Enterprises in 2015
Enterprises in 2015
What will enterprises look like in 2015? What information and communication technologies will they use?
Projects launched under ICT WP 2009-10 are expected to have an impact on the markets around 2015. By then, ICT infrastructures and market structures should be gone through a revolutionary transformation.
In the sky of enterprises, are Clouds just bringing on a sudden storm or will they be permanent weather components? How secure will the enterprise environments be by then? Will we work in self-healing collaborative networks or will malware evolve along and give us different kinds of headaches? Will green IT drive strategic decisions of enterprises? Is open source a catalyst for promoting European software and services industries and will it still be relevant in 2015?
We'll bring research fellows and industry experts together and try to better connect the output of EU research with the requirements of industry, and explore what enterprises will look like in 2015 in terms of ICT.
As network organization and open business company, We would like to participate and collaborate with this interesting discussion and contribute with our experience of Openness versus Consensuality.

<9Sep08 Objective 1.4: ICT for ageing well with cognitive problems, combining assistive and independent living technologie
Submitted by consen on Mon, 2008-06-16 10:47.Proposal: TEPECS Trans-European
Personal Ehealth Products and Services for ageing persons
Objective 1.4: ICT for ageing well with
cognitive problems, combining assistive and independent living
technologies
*Funding instrument:* Pilot B - it is intended to
support several pilot actions
The objective is to
significantly improve quality of life and social care for the ageing
population by combining assistive technologies to compensate for
cognitive problems or mild dementia with independent living
platforms, specifying and demonstrating the resulting innovative ICT
enabled products and services.
Solutions should provide
cognitive training, activation and reinforcement for the elderly as
well as support to their day-to-day activities and social
interactions. This should result in a substantial prolongation of the
time they can continue to be at home rather than in an institution
The pilots should be clearly demand driven and build
on public-private partnerships. It should
bring together a set of
regional actions addressing the above goals and involve relevant
stakeholders such as care service providers, housing corporations
and insurance organisations.
A strong involvement of users and
their representatives, their families and carers, is expected
to
ensure end-user acceptance and uptake.

Our introduction http://edelpki.edelweb.fr/
we are a French consulting company specialized in IT-security. I
have read the text about SYMPHONY. It seems that
one of our past activities may be of interest. We have developed a
standard for authentication and authority delegation for the various
organisations in the French Social Security.
The work has been presented at several conferences. here one abstract.
Identity and authorisation control are deeply related together with impacts
on their respective management. The topic gets complicated in contexts
where authorisation has to be managed across boundaries of organisations.
As an example, this applies in particular to public administrations or
to semi-public organisations where agents/employees from one
organisation want to access resources of another organisation. Using a concrete use case, the
topic and a solution will be explained and compared with other techniques.
We describe an approach for cooperation that does not involve the
installation of common infrastructures for end-to-end authentication and authorisation
(including the management). Instead, it uses a delegated approach using
organisation level proxies and gateway services that map local
authentication and authorisation decisions from a client organisation to the local
authentication and authorisation environment of the server organisation. The work is
proposed and currently developed as an element of the general referential of
interoperability and security for the French Administration.
We would be interested to participate in the SYMPHONY project and
contribute.
Either as software provider, or security consultancy, or specification.
We have lot's of experiences in EU projects since more than 15 years.
regards and thanks in advance for any response
Peter Sylvester
