The project FoCus aims at fostering synergies between public policies in support of e-Business for SMEs. In this context guidelines and training material for regional actors in the field of e-Business policies were developed.
Together with its partners in Italy, Spain and the Czech Republic, MFG Baden-Württemberg has developed a handbook to support planning, implementation and auditing of new e-business initiatives. In addition to outlining the success factors for regional e-business initiatives, the handbook also describes best practice examples from the four partner regions: Baden-Württemberg (Germany), Piedmont (Italy), Valencia (Spain) and Vysocina (Czech Republic). Parallel to this, a special training concept has been developed based on knowledge teaching in workshops and online seminars. The training courses are particularly targeted at representatives of trade associations and politics, who it is envisaged will subsequently act as multipliers by passing on their e-business know-how to small and medium-sized enterprises.
The FoCus training concept is particularly targeted at representatives of trade associations, regional development agencies and politics, who it is envisaged will subsequently act as multipliers by passing on their e-business know-how to small and medium-sized enterprises. The objective of the training is to help these multipliers plan and implement e-business more efficiently. They are supported with practical tips for designing and implementing successful strategies to encourage e-business adoption.
The FoCus training modules consist of four features:
* A multimedia tutorial – success factors of regional e-business policies in a nutshell
* A handbook gives an overview on success factors of regional e-business policies exemplified through best practices.
* Online quizzes serve as a tool for self-assessment
* Online checklists support the impact assessment of regional e-Business policies
The features will go into detail regarding
* Policy Background
* Conditions for eBusiness
* Strategies
* Instruments
* Stakeholders - Networking
* Business models
* Marketing and PR | Support measures of multipliers
* Monitoring and Evaluation
