Talos was created during a period of world economic transformation, when traditional markets and economies are challenged by new developments in the Information and Communication Technologies and when global competition raises the stakes for enterprises even higher. In the face of these developments the challenge for Talos is to assist Cyprus Enterprises, especially Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) come face to face with problems of competitiveness and sustainability. 

Talos has strategically placed itself between  industry,  academia,  financial institutions and  public authorities with the core  mission of supporting the development of SMEs in Cyprus. 

Talos team of young scientists provides its clients with valuable support in the fields of  Science,  Technology and  Innovation. From its foundation Talos has focused its efforts on exploiting the opportunities and addressing the challenges that come about as a result of Cyprus accession to the EU and competing in the common market. Talos provides its clients information, technical support, counseling and training services in  research and development,  technology assessment,  technology transfer,  innovation management,  start-up creation and  innovation financing. 

Talos hosted the  National Contact Point for SMEs for the  6th Framework Programme and is the scientific coordinator of the  Regional Innovation Strategy (RIS) project for Cyprus.
